RE: JOHN F. KENNEDY'S PRESS CONFERENCES.......

===============================================

The following audio weblinks provide access to seven full, uncut press
conferences given by President Kennedy during his 1,037 days in the
White House.

These conferences display Kennedy's vast knowledge of the issues he
was tackling each and every day, and these clips are a fascinating
portal back to the early 1960s:

Here is audio from one more JFK Press Conference, which was held by
President-Elect Kennedy on November 10, 1960, just two days after he
was elected President of the United States:

Hopefully, some day, the JFK Library in Boston (which I believe houses
all of Kennedy's press conferences on audio and video) will remaster
all 64 of those conferences and release them on DVD or Audio-CD.

Having all of JFK's news conferences digitally archived would be ideal
for the preservation and historical record of John F. Kennedy's
presidency.

All of the conferences can, however, be read (word for word) at the
JFK Library website. Here's a link to the text versions of the JFK
press gatherings:

MORE LIBRARY TALK:

Another interesting part of the John F. Kennedy Library website is the
"White House Diary", which contains information about JFK's activities
for every one of the 1,037 days he was Chief Executive of the United
States.

If you click on "White House Diary" within the red toolbar on the
following webpage, you'll get an "audio/visual" version of the
"Diary", which includes many video and audio clips throughout the
diary's pages:
