The ol' "FBI Was Involved In A Conspiracy To Frame Oswald As The Lone
Gunman" conspiracy argument that many people seem to gladly embrace
always gives me a good chuckle....mainly because it's just so stupid
to begin with, FROM THE FBI'S POST-ASSASSINATION POINT-OF-VIEW!

J. Edgar Hoover and his boys should have been dying to FIND A
CONSPIRACY surrounding JFK's murder, rather than running around trying
to cover one up; and Hoover should have been even more anxious to get
Oswald completely OFF the murdering hook, not ONTO that hook.

Why?

Because the FBI knew that Oswald was in Dallas in November 1963 (and
they also probably SHOULD have known he was working in a building
overlooking JFK's motorcade route).

Dallas FBI Agent James Hosty talked with Marina Oswald and/or Ruth
Paine on November 1st...which was well AFTER Lee Oswald got his
Depository job on October 15th. And EITHER woman could have easily
supplied Hosty with the info about Lee being employed at the Book
Depository as of that date.

But many CTers actually think that J. Edgar and his crew were trying
to frame a completely INNOCENT Lee Oswald, even though such a frame-up
was bound to bring even MORE heat down on Hoover and his FBI boys, for
not having kept a better eye on this joker on Assassination Day.

I guess Hoover must have liked the idea of being on the hot seat, huh?
So instead of going out and trying to find President Kennedy's "real
killers", evidently many conspiracy theorists think JEH was
deliberately putting himself (and his entire Bureau, in a sense) right
into the frying pan by wanting to FRAME a totally-innocent man named
Lee Harvey Oswald....i.e., a man who tried to defect to Russia just
four years earlier and a man whom the FBI knew about in the weeks
leading up to November 22, 1963.

Crazy.

Excellent Post ! This Assassination would of been a perfect time for
Jgar (Who had cmplete control of the evidence ) to get rid of all or
some of his political enemy's that he didn't already have the dirt
on .
If he was as depraved as some CTer's suggests we would of expected
him to come up with a killer(s) other then one LHO . This is
suggestive
that indeed LHO was the killer , Jgar wasn't depraved , was in fact
honest about who killed JFK and the rest is history , but not this
fantasy induced history CTer's have been trying to force down the
throats of America and by all indications has failed miserably .

The heat was already on the FBI for blundering. Why would they want
to frame Oswald? He was dead. All they had to do was keep the heat
on Oswald, and no heat would be applied to JEH and his oil buddies.
This is just crazy simple.

>>> "You seem to know absolutely nothing about Hoover's thinking." <<<

And YOU know all about his Nov. 1963 "thinking" and mindset, right
Anthony?

>>> "Hoover KNEW it was a conspiracy. He had the proof in his hands. But for the good of the country he covered it up." <<<

Yeah, sure. And he was willing to place that permanent black eye on
his "baby" (The Bureau) forever by FRAMING OSWALD (with many CTers
also thinking JEH framed a TOTALLY-INNOCENT OSWALD, to boot!), i.e.,
the same man (LHO) whom Hoover's Bureau KNEW was right in Dallas in
Nov. '63. Right, Tony?

I wonder, though, what he did with all of the non-C2766 bullets? Edgar
sure got lucky that no non-plotters saw even ONE of those unwanted
missiles, huh?

Well, at least J. Edgar had the country's best interests at heart, huh?
*

* = Which, actually, is kind of an odd switch for Hoover-haters to
admit, I would think....since most/many CTers seem to think JEH cared
about pretty much nothing but his beloved Bureau and himself.
