A Super-Kook named Jim Garrison, the New Orleans District Attorney who
in early 1967 charged an innocent man (Clay Shaw) with conspiracy to
murder President Kennedy, was given 26 minutes of "equal time" on NBC-
TV in July of 1967.

Garrison's rebuttal program was in response to the scathing "White
Paper" that NBC broadcast on June 19, 1967 ("The Case Of Jim
Garrison"), which was a documentary program that established the fact
to the American people that Garrison was a total nutcase, and that he
had no "case" at all against Mr. Shaw.

Here are a few of Kook Garrison's unsupportable verbal gems from his
1967 NBC-TV appearance (which can be heard via the audio link provided
below):

"The conclusion of the Warren Report that President Kennedy was
killed by a lone assassin is a fairy tale." -- J. Garrison

"We know that the President was being shot at from the Grassy
Knoll area on the right-front, because most of the people in Dealey
Plaza heard the shots coming from there." -- J. Garrison

[Oh really?....]

"By the evidence of the Warren Commission itself, it is obvious
that there was other shooting going on in Dealey Plaza." -- J.
Garrison

"Let's sum it up by saying that it is completely impossible to
uphold the single-assassin theory." -- J. Garrison

"Anyone who has done their homework knows that the single-
assassin theory is totally impossible." -- J. Garrison

oh really?

22. Manufacture a new truth. Create your own expert(s), group(s),

which concludes favorably. In this way, if you must actually address
issues, you can do so authoritatively.

It's very heartwarming to know that Phil Ossofee doesn't seem to mind
the fact that Jimbo Garrison put a man on trial for a murder
conspiracy that even Garrison himself knew was totally innocent of the
vile charge for which he was arrested.

Phil chooses his friends and allies wisely, doesn't he? David Lifton
is probably one of Philip's faves too. Right, P.O.?

Are you kidding, Bud? Garrison was of the loony opinion that at least
four gunmen were hiding in the Plaza, probably a total of 5 when we
include the one guy whom Jimbo thinks (thought) was in the sewer.

And, of course, Garrison also admitted in numerous public appearances
that Oswald was being "sheep-dipped" and being set up as the lone
patsy well in advance of 11/22.

Imagine that uphill battle -- FIVE gunmen firing five separate rifles
at JFK (and NONE of them firing Oswald's C2766 Carcano, btw, that's
another thing Garrison says in his public appearances) within the
underlying framework of a "LONE PATSY NAMED OSWALD" plot.

It doesn't get too much funnier (or more ridiculous) than that. But,
at least Ollie Stone bought the whole Garrison package, which enabled
millions more to also leave their common sense in the lobby of the
movie theater prior to going in to see Stone's "JFK".

43 more minutes of Garrison:
