MEMORANDUM FOR MR. MOYERS
It is important that all of the facts surrounding President Kennedy's
Assassination be made public in a way which will satisfy people in the
United States and abroad that all the facts have been told and that a
statement to this effect be made now.
[correct]
1. The public must be satisfied that Oswald was the assassin; that he
did not have confederates who are still at large; and that the
evidence was such that he would have been convicted at trial.
[WHAT?]
2. Speculation about Oswald's motivation ought to be cut off, and we
should have some basis for rebutting thought that this was a Communist
conspiracy or (as the Iron Curtain press is saying) a right-wing
conspiracy to blame it on the Communists. Unfortunately the facts on
Oswald seem about too pat-- too obvious (Marxist, Cuba, Russian wife,
etc.). The Dallas police have put out statements on the Communist
conspiracy theory, and it was they who were in charge when he was shot
and thus silenced.
[derived within 2 days]
3. The matter has been handled thus far with neither dignity nor
conviction. Facts have been mixed with rumour and speculation. We can
scarcely let the world see us totally in the image of the Dallas
police when our President is murdered.
[its gonna get dirtier, Nick]
I think this objective may be satisfied by making public as soon as
possible a complete and thorough FBI report on Oswald and the
assassination. This may run into the difficulty of pointing to in-
consistencies between this report and statements by Dallas police
officials. But the reputation of the Bureau is such that it may do the
whole job.
[yep, J Edgar and Nicky are in lockstep]
Nicholas deB. Katzenbach
Deputy Attorney General
<snicker> it`s the kind of cover-up that make public what the
investigations find out.

Who was the Attorney General?
and who signed the memo your honor.... back to the question, legal-
beagle....
Who wrote the memo ? When do you think that Robert Kennedy returned to
work in the Justice Department, the day after the assassination ?
He wasn't involved in the day-to-day operation of the Justice
Department for months after his brother's murder. Read some books for
once and get an idea of what went on instead of talking out of your
ass.
We were told by Gov't Media that RFK believed the WCR.
That's a LIE!
See ARRB Report Chapter 1 page 10 footnote 17.
"LBJ, RFK and 4 members of the WC did NOT believe the basic findings of the
WCR".

You kooks think Katzenbach was committing to paper the blueprint
for covering up the murder of his boss`s brother. I think you need to
be committed.
> He wasn't involved in the day-to-day operation of the Justice

I`m sure he took no interest in how the department of government he
headed proceeded in the matter of his brother`s death.

You can`t even understand a simple memo, you have a ways before you
work your way up to books.
BEFORE any investigation ever even STARTED.
Are you Denying Katzenbach wrote those words??

Two days more than was needed to figure this thing out, Gummy Bear.

What were they waiting for? If the cops find a murdered homeless
person, they usually start the investigation right then and there.
> Are you Denying Katzenbach wrote those words??
Which ones, "..satisfy people in the United States and abroad that
all facts have been told..." (which is never a guarantee that all the
facts will be understood), or "...making public as soon a possible a
complete and thorough FBI report..."? Funny choice of words for a
cover-up, almost exactlly opposite from what you might expect if that
were the case.
Hey Dud.... I've got some swell seashore property in Nevada that I'll
sell ya cheap.

Let me guess... when Katzenbach calls for a thorough
investigation, you read that to mean "there must be no investigation",
and when he calls for the facts to be made public, you read that to
mean "the facts must be covered up". Just like you read a bunch of
people in the Texas Theater when Oz was arrested saying he pulled a
gun as meaning Oz didn`t pull a gun. As always, the problem is your
brain, not the information being fed into it.
Guess?? That would indicate that you have the ability to chose from
several options...... And clearly you don't have that ability. You
always opt to allow "experts" to make decisions for you.
It's perfectly clear that Katzenbach is laying out the course that the
"investigation" should take. He even goes so far as saying that
Hoover should be in the drivers seat and control the entire
"investigation" because the FBI is a vaunted and respected
organization while those Texas hicks have already caused problems that
are going to have to be "corrected"
I'm sure you can't see that Dud, ..cause you've got yer head in yer
ass.

As opposed to who, clueless idiots like yourself? Conspiracy
mongers?

Get the facts out to the public as quick as possible.

Kooks are against correcting mistakes, they`ve built their silly
sandcastles on them.

I can read and comprehend the English language. This memo says the
exact opposite of what you kooks represent it to mean.
1. Announce Oswald's guilt
2. Say Oswald would have been convicted
3. Do "NOT" go into Oswald's Motive (because he had NONE)
THREE days after the Assassination.
BEFORE any investigation was Started.

You kooks can`t understand this memo, Gummy Bear. All you do is
illustrate your ignorance of the English language.
> 1. Announce Oswald's guilt
Fritz had done that already, among others. It was written in the
papers.
> 2. Say Oswald would have been convicted
Would have been.
> 3. Do "NOT" go into Oswald's Motive (because he had NONE)
So, you believe that JFK died as a result of a communist
conspiracy?
> THREE days after the Assassination.
Conclusions that stand today. It`s never too early to be right.
> BEFORE any investigation was Started.
You think that no investigating was done before the WC was formed,
mostly because you are an idiot.
