History and politics were changed forever due to the actions and
inactions of the Secret Service on November 22, 1963. Simply put, if
these men would have done their usual, professional, and thorough
jobs, President Kennedy would have survived Dallas. Instead, their
collective failure cost the nation its president and set off a chain
of events that will be felt for many years to come: escalation in
Vietnam, the ascendency and downfall of Richard Nixon, etc.
"Survivor's Guilt: The Secret Service & The Failure To Protect The
President" is also the title of Vince Palamara's book on the Secret
Service, encompassing a world record number of interviews with former
Secret Service agents that protected JFK (and numerous other
presidents, as well). ***PLEASE SEE THE FOLLOWING LINKS:

What did the SS "usually" do that they didn`t do in Dallas that
would have prevented Kennedy`s death?

I think Oswald deserves some credit here.

Perhaps had Kennedy lived, we would have all dies in a nuclear
holocaust.

Who held the previous record?

I had high hopes for you,,Vince, when I read your Amazon.com review of
Bugliosi's Four Days in November: "Vince Bugliosi's masterful work is
a devastating knock-out blow to those who, like me, once believed
there was a conspiracy in the death of JFK. Bugliosi finishes and
completes, in exhaustive and impressive detail, the work of the Warren
Commission, the House Select Committee on Assassinations, and, quite
frankly, all the other writers who have ever delved into the crime of
the twentieth century. It is time to get a life, America: Oswald did
indeed kill Kennedy, acting alone.

Take your own advice, Vince, and "get a life." You never worked for
the Secret Service and your screen name SecretServiceGuy is a
complete fraud. In fact, I saw your MySpace page one time and it
identified you as a "guitar player." Get a Life.

I never claimed to have worked for the Secret Service; just an
interest of mine. I am also a guitar player, as well. I even have a
life, too LOL

Vince :)

Then stop calling yourself SecretServiceGuy. It's misleading,
especially to Lurkers who have never seen you MySpace page and
discovered you're just a GuitarGuy.

Perhaps, then you should change your screenname to "constipated
asshole".

At least it wouldn't be misleading.

That's the great thing about internet discussion groups: You can hurl
insults without any fear of being punched in the nose. Made to order
for guys like you Gil.

Let's see who the asshole is, ok?

Vince Palamara, who has done tremendous work on his study of the
secret service, and regardless whether an LN or CT should be accorded
due respect OR Gil Jesus who has given us:

1. Connally shot JFK
2. JFK was coughing up a bullet

Not a real difficult question, now is it?
