Clearly, he was planning to leave Dallas that day (which is why he left
his wedding ring and extra cash), and for some reason he wanted to be
identified as an ex-Marine.
Maybe it shows he was Married to the Corps.

If Oz didn`t expect to get far that day, he wouldn`t need money, or
a need to hide his bling-bling.
Fact is, he left the bulk of his life savings behind, took his wedding
ring off of his left hand ring finger, and replaced it with his USMC
ring.
Todd
Replaced it with his USMC ring? Please explain.
NOW, Bud is Answering for Oswald.

In the United States, LHO wore his wedding ring on his left hand ring
finger, as in the custom here (unlike in the then Soviet Union).
But post LHO arrest photogrpahs show that he is wearing his USMC ring
on his left hand ring finger.
Therefore he removed his wedding ring and replaced it on his hand with
his USMC ring.
Todd
Some people do not like to wear two rings on the same hand. Many women
do not mind doing so, but most men do not like to do that. Oswald wore
his wedding ring on his right hand, not his left hand, following the
Russian tradition.
Most Americans wear the wedding ring on the left hand and the USMC ring
on the right hand.
Photos show that in the Soviet Union LHO followed Russian tradition and
wore his wedding ring on the right hand ring finger.
Photos also show that once he was back in the US, however, he wore his
wedding ring on the left hand ring finger.
NO PHOTOS show him wearing the USMC ring on any hand, other than those
of him under arrest fro the Tippit and Kennedy murders.

Can't agree with your logic completely. But how do you know his ID
bracelet had Oswald's name on it? Maybe it had David Ferrie's name on
it, given to him after a special weekend.
But Oswald also had his fake ID on him, Hidell.

No, I think he left his wedding ring and the cash as a signal that he
was breaking up with Marina.

Are you sure that it didn't say, "To Lee with Love, David"? ;]>
