We are currently seeking talented/experienced security management
professionals to lead a team of Special Police Officers at a
Department of Energy site. The Program Manager/Managers and
Supervisors would be responsible for managing a team of highly trained
front-line Special police Officers who work at a defined facility to
control access using x-ray machines and metal detectors, inspect
vehicles, patrol facilities, escort key officials, and guard
restricted areas. Officers typically have former law enforcement
experience, are graduates of a certified law enforcement training
academy and receive thorough pre-employment training. Officers are
credentialed and Q cleared to work in DOE facilities and are required
to have superior client and customer relationship skills.

The Program Manager/Managers and Supervisors will be responsible for
the following:

* Provide leadership and direction to officer personnel by
coaching, counseling and developing skills
* Manage the financial aspects of the account by overseeing
payroll, billing, accounts receivable, scheduling, recruiting and
training
* Be available as the single point of contact for clients at your
location.
* Work with all levels of the organization to identify, analyze
and resolve issues and create opportunities for continuous improvement
* Lead by example to motivate staff and to represent AlliedBarton
with world class customer and client service delivery

1. Personnel with Existing DOE Q Clearance preferred. 2. Must be a
U.S. citizen and at least twenty-one (21) years of age. 3. Must be
able to communicate orally and in writing (in English) at high school
level. High school diploma or G.E.D. required. 4. Must have been
honorably discharged if served in a branch of the military service. 5.
Must be emotionally stable and mentally alert. You will be required to
take and pass a psychological examination. 6. You will be required to
submit to a medical examination and physical fitness evaluation. A
Drug and Alcohol screen will be performed. 7. Must have valid civilian
driver’s license at time of job offer and a good driving record. 8.
Must abstain from present illegal use of prescription/non-prescription
substances and/or alcohol abuse. 9. Must not have any felony
convictions or other serious offenses which would prevent issuance of
a security clearance to do armed security police officer work. 10.
Must advise AlliedBarton Security Services, LLC Human Resources,
verbally within two days and in writing within three days thereafter,
of any arrest, charge, or detention by any law enforcement authority
for any violation of any laws, regulations, or ordinances (excluding
traffic violations with fines of less than $250.00). 11. Must have
work and character background which would permit us to obtain a
security clearance for you. Signed consent to release personal
information to be submitted with employment application. Reference
checks must be complete before submission for security clearance. 12.
Must be willing to use deadly force, if necessary, in defense of your
life, the lives of others or to preclude the theft or sabotage of a
nuclear weapon. 13. Must be able to adapt to adverse work conditions
encountered by security personnel including, but not limited to
inclement weather, solitary duty in desolate areas, underground work
stations, and be willing and able to fly in small aircraft. 13.1
Normally scheduled shift is 12 hours and may be 13-16 hours per day
and usually averages 4 shifts per week. 13.2 You will be required to
work additional hours during emergency requirements over which the
Company has no control. You will be expected to volunteer for overtime
work during high manpower requirements and will be required to do so
when there are insufficient volunteers. 14. Must be able to qualify
with SIG .40 cal pistol, M-4 rifle, 15. Must have the ability to pass
the work related examinations given during the training period with an
average of 75% or better. 16. Must satisfactorily complete the 20-week
probationary period. 17. Must keep the Company informed of any changes
in your personal status, (e.g., home address, telephone number,
marital status, dependents, etc.) 18. A telephone number where you can
be contacted during off-duty hours for operational work requirements
is required. 19. Must be mentally alert and capable of exercising good
judgment, implementing instructions, and assimilating necessary
specialized training. All uniformed employees shall be capable of
reading and comprehending security orders written or spoken in
English. Emotional and mental stability is essential for the effective
performance of uniformed duties. Uniformed personnel duties routinely
require contact with the public and the carrying of firearms, and
under emergency situations, may involve long working periods without
relief. Absence of detectable neurotic or psychotic conditions which
would adversely affect a uniformed employee’s ability to handle
firearms safely or to act safely and effectively in emergency
conditions is a necessity.

Well, if he had the job, he wouldn't be homeless.

I don't know how being homeless compares to living in Tonopah. I'd
image with the number of cops in town, there isn't a high percentage
of tweakers, as say compared to Rachel or Pahrump. At least everyone
I've met in Tonopah stil has their teeth.

I've read his homeless blog. Glenn seems to be in a mode as to not be
a pain in anyone's ass, which of course is different from his Area 51
days where he lived to be a pain in the base's ass.

Incidentally, I hear he is doing one-way driving to deliver cars.
