My DSL offers 10 hours of dialup as a backup plan, per month.
If there was an outage, I could use the dialup option.
I haven't had any sustained outages with DSL in the last
couple years. There might be a 30 second outage, when lightning
hits the neighborhood, giving the equipment time to re-establish

If you live in CanaDUH you won't see nothin' but a bill that will knocks
your socks off at the end of the month. Most sites are blocked all ports
are blocked everything is speed throttled and traffic shaped. Broadband is
worst than dial-up in most cites. The only thing you'd see on YouTube is
endless buffering and no videos EVER!

and downloads at 24-48 kbps.
Another one rarely has a busy signal, downloads at 24-48, and has a

Yes..i have other soundcards...i don't think it's a software
problem..since the pascal program has worked well in other computers.

Got you Bobb. I found that the files that were "bad" had mostly been
"joined" as in "small clips" taken by either myself or who-ever on
YouTube & made longer by using one of the Joining softwares. I used
Webroot Window Washer's Remove & Bleach gismo which got rid of them
once I had them isolated but as far as "patching up" the now-vacant
