Is there any way I can record a YouTube video and then record it on a
DVD for later viewing in another system, say a portable video player?

Thanks,

Dave

Simplest way is (at least on a Mac, don't know if
this works on Windows) is to use the Firefox browser
along with the "download helper" add on:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/video-downloadhelper/

Sorry, should have mentioned I have a PC with XP. I downloaded the
file but it would not open...seems not compatible with a PC.

Thanks,

Dave, your header information would seem to indicate that you are
posting via Chrome. Looking at the web address of the link above, it is
an extension used with FireFox, so may not work for Chrome!!

Another Firefox add-on that I use to record video is "Ant Video
Downloader". It wants to run automatically when you watch a video. I
don't know if it works with YouTube or not.

Yes, you are correct, I am using Chrome. I'll sit tight for not and
continue to hope something comes up for my system.

.... but, again, it's a FireFox add-on, so may not work with Chrome.
