Subject: AVG Pop-Up Ads
I have being using AVG Anti-Virus Free for quite some time (version
8.5.xxx).  Just recently, I have started getting pop-up ads to my
desktop pushing the upgrade to AVG Internet Security.  Is there anyway
in AVG Anti-Virus Free to turn off this pop-up (it happens every day).

Nag screens are typical for "free" AV software, and if you read the
license and terms, there is probably a mention of this. Your choices are
to purchase the paid version, look for a free AV that does not behave
this way, or stop using AV software.

Try Avira, it only gives one single nag screen when it updates the virus
sigs.  No nags any other time.

Actually it's very easy to eliminate the nag screen in Avira's
AntiVir.  Google for it when you're ready.
