Description: To provide Information Services (IS) Help Desk support to
end users on a 15 user Local Area Network (LAN)
with Macintosh clients running MAC 0S version 7 and 8, Windows 95
workstations and a Windows NT Version 4.0 Server.
To support the customer in the execution of IS projects including, but
not limited to:

- Development and implementation of a trouble ticketing system
- Installing and configuring applications on WindowsNT and Mac server
- Upgrading and configuring Macintosh operating systems
- Installing and configuring Macintosh applications
- Documenting workstation configuration
- Performing inventory and ensuring each workstation conforms to the
standard configuration

This position requires a minimum of 20 hours per week at the customer
facility in Herndon, VA. The other hours may be
completed via telecommute or at other locations. Travel may be required,
but is not anticipated at this time.

Required Skills:

- 1 to 2 years of using Macintosh OS and using Macintoshes in a Network
Environment
- Ability to install and configure Microsoft Office 98 and other
applications for Macintosh
- Self Starter
- Able to work independently at customer site with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills
- Good organizational skills

Desired skills:

- Understanding of Windows 95/98 OS
- Understanding of Unix OS
- RDBMS familiarity
- Installation and configuration of Windows Applications
- Familiarity with E-mail configurations
