Position: Desktop Software Tester
Location: MN (Need Locals or nearby)
Duration: 24 Months+
Rate: 22/Hr
Positions: 2 (1 Senior 1 Junior)
Job Description:
Need for 2 consultant to support Integrated Desktop Software Testing,
Test Issue Tracking/Resolution and Desktop Software Testing Strategies/
Analysis. This service supports desktop software users and department
Information Technology (IT) staff by providing a consistent approach
to testing changes to desktop software before new software is
installed on the desktop
Senior level person to do planning, research, test cases and problem
resolution and Junior level person to do testing and to assist with
test cases and test planning.
Flexibility to work more hours some weeks and less others based on
work load is expected.
Mandatory Skill Required
3 + years experience in
Developing and implementing Test Plans,
Designing and applying test scenarios and test cases,
2+ years experience in
Monitoring / tracking issue resolution during testing as well as in
actually working with a team to resolve issues,
VMWare, JIRA, SCCM experience
Executing testing based on a test plan, using predetermined test cases
and reporting testing results including regression
Using one or more common Quality Assurance tools (e.g. Mercury’s
TestDirector, Compuware’s QA Center, IBM’s Rational TestManager, or
other)
Installation and use of the following desktop software products:
GroupWise 6.5.2 or later, MS Office 2000 SP3 and XP SP3 or later,
Adobe Acrobat 6.0.1, Adobe Reader 7.0.9 or later, Windows Operating
Systems (2000 SP4, XP SP1 and SP2, etc.)
Data extraction, query and data management. Experience in analyzing
desktop software environments and determining base configurations and
upgrade configurations needed as well as testing strategies
Experience in functioning as a testing lead for desktop software
testing
Experience as a successful project manager for test projects
Experience and demonstrated success in knowledge transfer of testing
and analysis skills and knowledge
