But I wasn't infected. Having installed SR2 of Office '97 a week prior
to my intercept of Vic's Class.D from Sydney on Nov 6 '98, it suffered
a runtime halt thereby displacing source code which I quickly cut and
pasted for subsequent analysis. The rest in now history!

And AV's scanning engines have what to do with the virus? A macro
virus is a tedius thing to process from an automated standpoint. It's
like parsing a text file (but with the addition of binary data); and
microsoft isn't much for documentation support. the data files present
in their software just wasn't sufficient to deal with it. The engine's
needed to be updated due to the parsing hassle. But the virus itself
really isn't too complex. It's just that the file format is a bitch,
for lack of a better term.

Trust me, mapping out the .doc file format is no fun task. I almost
feel sorry for those who have already accomplished the task; but at
the same time, Anyone who's already mapped it out and is willing,
PLEASE send me the specs :)
I promise it's not for viral use. It's actually something to ensure
privacy. Word has this feature built in, but you can't process a whole
directory of them at a time. Also, if someone already knows of a macro
stripper for doc files which does batch operations; feel free to let
me know that too, so I can stop working on mine. :)

Google's search options are lacking. I somewhat remember the thread,
but I can't pinpoint it without some manual effort.

It's not a Vx or Av group; and we don't actually do any "hacking"
(unless you mean codecs and software); despite it being in the name of
the group.
It's a ripping group essentially. We don't always offer the newest
stuff, none of our releases are cam based. All are from dvd or vcd;
All being good quality. Perhaps in the next few months, even you might
come across our work.
We're pretty low profile these days tho, Nobody is interested in
competing with any other groups; and we really don't care to brag to
much on what we do. Suffice to say, if you see our work and you like
it, give us a shout. :)
