I plan on purchasing a Palm TX on Ebay soon. Or more likely two and keep one as a
backup. I do *NOT* want any Palm/cell combined devices due to all the cell phone
restriction blocking bs. I'm happy with carrying a cheap prepaid cell phone and a
Palm.
According to Palm Desktop 6.2 and HotSync Manager (Windows)
http://kb.palm.com/wps/portal/kb/na/tungsten/tx/unlocked/solutions/article/32859_en.html
you can use Bluetooth.
Windows Vista Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate
Please note: 64-bit Windows Vista is not supported for USB synchronization. However,
64-bit Windows users may be able to sync through a Bluetooth wireless connection.
After installing Palm Desktop 6.2, see: Synchronizing under 64-bit Windows Vista:
Bluetooth HotSync setup.
How well does this work?
Anyone tried this on Windows 7 yet?

With the TX, you can also use wi-fi.

I have Windows 7 32-bit and Palm Desktop 6.2 and both my PalmOS
devices (a Treo 680 and a Palm TX) sync to it just fine. The TX syncs
quickly and easily over wi-fi and the Treo syncs well over Bluetooth.

Oh excellent. That'll work very well when I'm home which is most of the time. The
rest of the time, ok, I'll drag out the Bluetooth adapter if the then laptop doesn't
already have Bluetooth.
<rant> Why on earth don't all current laptops have Bluetooth? Sheesh, this is
probably a $0.25 chip. </rant>

Thanks kindly for verifying this still works.
