Aint' going to happen. You will have to use a serial cable with the null
modem adapter. The IR on the two devices are not compatible/ Kind of
stupid, but I have given up/

I just saw a post under the palmtops that indicated a program called Blazer
works with IR with the 7160 and the m505. Maybe I will try this and report
back.

The Blazer is actually a web browser. If you have browser accessible
email - hotmail etc, then it might work. POP3, I am not sure.
