Why not "the" Quicken Credit Card (VISA) from Travelers, now Citibank?

Take a look at:

http://www.firstusa.com/

I use the United Airlines Mileage Plus VISA card issued by FUSA. That is
the only account I have with them, no checking, savings or anything else. I
use OneStep Update in Quicken 2000 to download transactions directly into my
VISA register--Web access not required. Works like a charm!

As soon as you see them, you will want to cancel the card :) Even Shitibank

In my opinion, Citibank is a shitty bank.

I sympathize. I also have two Suntrust cards and was using PC
Banking. Web Access is practically worthless for use with Quicken. I
will be changing cards as a result of this move.

Not to mention that one month after MBNA obtained our accounts, they
raised the interest rate!

I use both American Express and Quicken Credit card. Both have
transactions downloaded using one-step update.

Webconnect works for just about any MBNA account. It is just an extra
step, but it does integrate quite nicely into Quicken.

The secret to using the Discover card is to pay your balance off every month
and collect the cashback bonus at the end of the year....

Why would anyone pay 20% interest from the moment they buy anything? By
paying off the total balance on time, every time YOU keep the use of
your money (even if it is only savings account interest) on average 5-6
weeks after you buy the thing. Yes it does require self control. Yes,
I know that's not always possible or easy. But at least split your
purchasing over 2 credit cards, and consistently pay off at least 1 of
them.

I initially had some problems with First USA when they first started
downloading transactions I have not had any problems since they worked out
the initial bug.

Thanks for the info, but I've found MBNA's Web connect unsatisfactory
for one main reason -- you have to wait until the billing cycle ends
to get transactions downloaded, i.e. you get an entire month's
statement in one shot. If I do Web-connect today I only get stuff
that happened before my last statement. I want to download
transactions a few days after they happen. That's the way SunTrust
used to work.

I'll second First USA / Bank One. I use their web access to keep up with
daily transactions and to do a manual statement download (I'm still on Q98).
Works great.

Rick,

Did anyone mention the Quicken Visa card. It originally was issued by
Traveler's Bank, but since Traveler's and Citibank merged, it is now
serviced by Citi. I don't know how you manage your credit, so it may or may
not be a good value for you.

Thanks to unidextr and others who suggested the First USA or the
Quicken card. I have verified with someone at FUSA (who seems to
understand the issue) that they can indeed support transaction
download without needing a deposit account. Since I prefer Visa to
MasterCard at this point (since I already have a MasterCard) I have
applied for a First USA Visa.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding something. My Quicken credit card is Visa, so
where does mastercard come in?
