Last year I purchase the 2009 Basic payroll for my 5 employees (it was the unlimited version) for $99 at Staples. Has Intuit discontinued this version? Anyone know where to purchase it? I found the basic 2010 version for 1-3 employees. Knowing Intuit they've found another way to milk the cash cow.... more »

Cloning drive and QB 2007
Howdy all. Prior to the holidays, I cloned our 20gig drv (Maxtor) to a 160gig Western Digital. All went well except for QB2007 and MS Office 2003 barking errors. QB displayed something that because I can't find my notes was similar to it was not registered/legal. Plan to re-clone the old drive (XP SP3, older Dell desktop/pizza box)... more »

QB Premier 2010 - switching to multicurrency
The "multicurrency centre" doesn't help, and the help screens are useless - all help appreciated! We are based in the USA, with USD bank accounts. 95% of our business is in EUR (whee!). For years, we've kept parallel accounts in EUR and USD, laboriously translating them at the end of the year. I wanted to take advantage of QB multicurrency, with individual vendor... more »

My next newbie question - payroll
Hi everyone, and thanks for the answers I have received previously. Moving to QB from OneWrite as of 1-1-10. Two payroll related questions that I have not discovered the answers to in my experimentation: 1: Can you globally change a wage rate for all employees? I.e. if a particular 'job task' is worth $X per hour and many employees perform... more »

QB 2010 Premier Accountant Edition
I currently run five users on QB Premium 2007 Accountant, and would like to update to 2010. Can I just buy one or two licenses right now, then purchase additional user licenses (for example, just to into my local Staples and buy the single user retail package) as needed? Would this be the exact same thing as purchasing the 3-user package... more »
