Howdy all.
Prior to the holidays, I cloned our 20gig drv (Maxtor) to a 160gig
Western Digital. All went well except for QB2007 and MS Office 2003
barking errors.
QB displayed something that because I can't find my notes was similar
to it was not registered/legal.

Plan to re-clone the old drive (XP SP3, older Dell desktop/pizza box)
to the WD this weekend. Might any of you provide me QB related issues
I might encounter and how to preclude or overcome them?

From reading a prior post in this grp ("Transfer QBP2004 to new
computer..") and other posts, it might be easier to perform a full
backup of QB2007 company data - gotta read up on it - to a flash drive
along w/license and release version. Then on encountering problems on
the new hard drive, uninstall QB2007, re-install from original disk w/
registration lic. number and download updates to get to the release
version currently on old drive.

Any other suggestions?

Thank you in advance,

Rey

Cloning sucks. All you are trying to do is make an exact copy of every
problem your machine currently has. Start from scratch, reinstall everything
including the operating system.
