I am thinking of purchasing QB Pro 2010. Will my QB Pro 2006 easily
import to QB Pro 2010?

Also does QB Pro 2006 need to be uninstalled to install QB Pro 2010?
thanks mc

There should not be any problems upgrading your file from 2006 to 2010. I
would run verify data to make sure that there are no issues with the file.
Make several backup copies of your 2006 version before proceeding.

As for installing, I would do a custom installation and opt to install the
program in its own folder. This becomes a separate installation and NOT a
software upgrade. This gives you both 2006 and 2010 on your hard drive in
case there is a problem with the upgrade.

I have 2007 through 2010 installed and can upgrade your file if you need
assistance.

The only thing I'd add is after the conversion, before you enter the first
transaction in 2010, run a verify on the data, just to be sure the conversion
went okay.

Plus I would make sure the software has been updated prior to conversion.
