Subject: XP Freezing!
Whenever I play any sort of video or run games or screensavers, the system
locks up and reboots immediately. I have tried the XP native drivers, the
21.81 detonator, and the W2k drivers.

Here is my setup:

-WinXP 2600 final
-AMD Athlon 900
-512MB
-Geforce2 MX400

Any help would be a blessing!

Thanks in advance

what motherboard and OS are you running on?  Sounds like a possible AMD AGP
miniport issue.

under system properties, startup and recovery, there is a box to auto
restart under the system failure part.  Unchecking this might shed some
light to what is going on

I removed the restart option. Tried to run (just the preview) of an open GL
screensaver, and the system locks hard...cannot Ctrl-alt-del.

Almost want to go buy a new video card or reinstall. This card never had
probs in windows2000.

Thanks!

I get a hard lock when the video is drawing simple icons or dragging
icons across the screen.  If I use the XP drivers for my GeForce card
I'm fine.  Install any others then I get these symptoms.

My XP freezes all the time since I upgraded to 21.81 drivers.  It did fine
with 12.41 drivers.
AMD Athlon 900, 256MB RAM, Asus A7V133 motherboard, Geforce 2GTS.

Must be related to GF2 cause i have the same lockups with it an IE6. Games
seem to run fine. I have seen many people with the GF2 based cards having
this issue. I reverted back to 12.41 until they can get this fixed.
