I am assembling a system using a Tiger133 board and a 850MHz
PentiumIII. There is no multiplier setting listed in the manual or on
Tyan's site for this CPU. Does anyone know what the setting should be?

TIA,
Carl Neumann

probably find it has a fixed multiplyer. I have a p3 750 slot 1 and it
doesnt matter what you set the board at the cpu overrides it.

Is it possible to override the CPU multiplier at all? E.g. drilling, etc?

Nope...

Only way is to get hold of a engineer sample...

Yup, I tried running my dual PIII800EB on a Tiger133 at 866 and 933 (by
changing the multiplier jumpers.) No go. Always came up as 800mhz.

Most, if not all, of the newer Intel CPU's are multiplier locked.
It makes no difference what you set the multiplier jumpers to on the MB with
these.
The way to overclock is by changing the FSB settings.
If you have a CPU with a 100Mhz FSB, then try setting FSB to 133, or something
in between 100 and 133. It can be difficult over 133.
Also, make sure that you use either PC133 memory, or, if your MB allows it,
memory at FSB minus 33.
