I have an S1854 that went south last Sunday. Have tried flashing the BIOS
several times with no success. So I tried to call Tyan Customer service
several times. Busy or down for maintanence except for today. Called at 3
min after 8:00 am and waited 45min and finally decided that ATT was getting
too much of my money. How does anyone ever get to the Customer Service
Dept???

A little word to the wise. Next time you buy a system from Micron pay the
extra few bucks for an extended warranty. You get Priority tech support
service with it. I never had to wait more then a minute or so for a real
person.

Finaly got thru! Fellow I talked to seem helpfull and confirmed that he had
other complaints about the phone system this morning. I have a new BIOS
chip on the way.

BTW, it's not a Micron system. I built two systems for the house based on
that board running 466 Celeron's and they have been good performers till
last Sunday.
