Subject: MSI K8T Neo series LAN problem

-hi,
i have a msi k8t neo series mother board which has 2 maxtor sata
drives. the 160gb is connected to the ser1 which boots xp pro & works
fine but is cluttered, full & needs replacing. the 2nd 120gb is
connected to sata1 and works fine. before i buy & install a new boot
drive i thought i would check that i can install a sata drive/boot/xp
correctly. i have disconnected the old 160gb boot drive. i have loaded
the 120gb sata with xp using the floppy sata driver supplied on floppy.
the system now boots ok on the newly xp loaded drive & i have upgraded
to sp2.-
The problem I have is I cannot connect to my Netgear router. What do I
need to do make the Mother board LAN port active (illuminate the Netgear
port light)? Are there drivers to make the LAN port work? if so where &
how do I load them?

Did you look on the MSI site for drivers ?

http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=downloadindex

There is probably a LAN driver you need. If you're lucky, maybe
it's small enough to fit on a floppy and carry over to your machine.

Since there is more than one motherboard by that name, it's
better if you locate the file. You need a more exact motherboard
name to do that.
