I am looking to upgrade my mb, cpu, and ram.

Going with the Intel Core2 Due E6600 cpu, and am strongly considering the
Asus P5B-E mb.

Would be very interested in any opinions from those that have it?

Thanks,

Not sure I understand. It is listed as an ATX mb, and the dimensions appear
to be correct, what exactly does that mean, not atx compliant?

In article <H8adnfixi8JB_1_Y...@giganews.com>,
d.bur...@clothes.comcast.net says...

The width dimension is actually 9.0 inches instead of 9.6 inches.
This means there are no support mounts to the motherboard at the back
edge as there is in a board that measure the full 9.6 inches. This is
of no consequence to a builder that knows what they're doing. OTOH, if
you're a lamer that has to morph to evade killfiles like knott@home,
it's the end of the world. Like the before mentioned lamer. you are
then entitled to run around in circles crying out " Oh Wailey,Wailey!
What a piece of crap! "

Seems to be one of the most difficult and ridiculous to set up. Crappy sound,

Doesn't appear to be any way to load windows for using RAID with a floppy drive

Tell ya what I have a p5b-deluxe I'll sell it to you for $50 less than I just
paid for it. Serious POS
