Anyone else find this happens? When I power down Windows XP my router
always loses the NIC connection (light goes out). Never happened on my
previous Gigabyte mobo. Any ideas what might be causing this ?

If you have actually powered down a system, the router
shouldn't show a connection, to that system.

Are we talking about a "power on LAN" issue?

Ken,

What used to happen was even when the power was off on my old Gigabyte
motherboard, my router showed a light for connectivity. I thought that was
normal. Now with my Asus the light always goes off on the router once
powered down. I am having trouble using the Express Boot option getting
onto the web as my router light is still off during the whole mini-boot
cycle........
