NTI CD & DVD-Maker Platinum makes a booboo

never hung before so after about 20 seconds i hit close and the program
closes. Now the piece of shit lags 20 seconds on everything I have
about 500 dvds saved on .cdm files so instead of about a 5 second delay
now it's about a 20 second delay when i open these files. Tried
everything short of formatting. I even upgraded to a much later version
of NTI CD & DVD-Maker Platinum and the same thing happens. I'm thinking
the computer somehow made a booboo but i've yet to fix it.

Does the burner read/play ok with other non-.cdm discs?
Check the problem .cdm discs with DiscSpeed (SpeedDisc).
How about uninstall all burn softwares, delete Upper/Lower Filters and
then reinstall only NTI?

about 500 of them. I upgraded to NTI Media Maker 8 from NTI CD & DVD-Maker
Platinum version 6. Now the thing only hangs on certain options available on
NTI Media Maker 8. Mostly data and video and it still hangs on the .cdm
files. Somehow the disc at once and test mode on NTI CD & DVD-Maker Platinum
6 also became greyed out so i couldn't use test or disc at once. They work
now in NTI Media Maker 8 but it hangs only on certain options. This all
started when i added about 1,500,000 jpg files to burn to a DVD and the thing
hung when i added them so instead of letting it finish i clicked on the small
x at the top to close the program after about 20 seconds then on end task.
That seemed to have loused up everything in the first place. I've tried
everything short of formatting. It seems to be a windows error and the
software remembers the error on certain options of NTI Media Maker 8. Using
software of a difference name like nero doesn't hang.

NTI could be choking on the large number of files, perhaps because some
sort of index(?) files got corrupted, or it's not designed to handle
1.5M files. I would try uninstall NTI and then delete all NTI files.
Also clean out temporary directories just in case any temporay NTI files
are around. Then reinstall and see if it still chokes.
