Gnash or Flash

I wonder if there is a difference between these program besides open and
closed.
How does Gnash fare in comparison?

Does anyone run Gnash instead of Flash?

I have never been able to get Gnash to work. The last time I tried was
about a year ago. It wouldn't play the video, but, at least, it didn't
crash the browser.

If you just want to look at some Youtube videos, Gnash is probably a
good choice for you.
If you want to play some Flash games or other complex Flash
applications, I'd recommend you to use Adobe Flash Player because Gnash
usually have compatibility issues with this kind of apps.

Had it working a while back, but some said it wasn't as pretty as Adobe.
I'm blind, so didn't bother me..
