Hello, I am looking for some help in solving this problem. We have a
Celeron running XP home, sp3 may be installed. Any thing we try to
open give us a NTVDM CPU has encounterd an illegal instruction notice
cs:0538 ip:0176 op:632c 32 6c 75
We are also unable to use anything in the control panel, we get a C:
\windows\system32\rundll.exe
the parameter is incorrect message. When the pc first boot there are
about 150f the black windows and the common thread seems to be C:
\documents\nick\application\adobe\mmc17.exe
Any help would be great
Thanks
Jinxy

1. If System Restore fails to boot satisfactorily,
2. Reinstallation of Windows would take less than one
hour, even if we do never knew the cause of this malfunction.
(But knowing the cause would not mean we also knew
its cure.)

Have you tried running the XP in safe mode?
