OpenPuff 4.00

OpenPuff is a professional steganography tool, with unique features you
won't find among any other free or commercial software. OpenPuff is
100% free and suitable for highly sensitive data covert transmission.
Let's take a look at its features

* Carrier chains : Data is split among many carriers. Only the
correct carrier sequence enables unhiding. Moreover, up to 256Mb can be
hidden, if you have enough carriers at disposal. Last carrier will be
filled with random bits in order to make it undistinguishable from
others.
* Supported formats : Images, audios, videos, flash, adobe.
* Layers of security : Data, before carrier injection, is encrypted
(1), scrambled (2), whitened (3) and encoded (4).

OpenPuff is a portable/stealth software

5.16MB zip download

* Spyware/adware-free
* Fully redistributable
* OpenSource core crypto-library (libObfuscate)

Used to be Puff hosted at FortuneCity which was sold. Seems Puff was
taken over also and changed to OpenPuff. Decent program.

Bear, when did you stop lying to ACF?

I hope that somebody wll review OpenPuff
a little better than "decent" !

In fact this piece of software has been
brought to you through years of hard work,
with the aim to build the most powerful
stego-tool that you could ever need !

Hints are welcome if somebody feels that
something important is missing and needs
to be added right now.

The author.

Have you posted this to sci.crypt? I couldn't find anything.

They are far more likely to have the skills to offer a 'decent' review.

Thank you for your work. I don't use it, personally, but sincerely
appreciate the gift to the freeware community.

Best,

As I told you in reply to your email to me:

"I suppose I should have written it is great software, as such it is. Zo
is a bit testy and I didn't want to overwhelm him. I've had Puff listed
on BearWare as best in class for a long time [which you know]. I only
list software I've determined to be best in class. Most of the time, I
rarely find something better and my choices usually stand firm for a
long time. Puff is no exception to this as I have found nothing better
to replace it.

Thank you for your generous contribution to the freeware world."

I would also like to know what happened at FortuneCity? The link to Puff
used to be:

http://members.fortunecity.it/blackvisionit/PUFFV300.HTM

That line no longer works and instead a note is posted:

"Fortune City is now Dotster. With this change, you now have 24x7
support."

I saw no update information anywhere when this change was made to the
current link which is now:

http://embeddedsw.net/OpenPuff_Steganography_Home.html

Sometimes it takes a while to discover such a change on ones own as to
do so, any webmaster who links to software must routinely manually check
each link listed on his site to insure they still go to the right place.
Meanwhile, anyone who clicks you old link is taken to a site and no re-
direct or any information is found about the now broken link.

Quite honestly what skills do you have to test this software? You can
test the functionality/user experience, but little else. If anyone is
considering hiding something important, something their life, or
livelihood depends upon, your recommendation is worthless.

>Most of the time, I
>rarely find something better and my choices usually stand firm for a

You're inflating your own self worth again. You'll never get any respect
from anyone worth a shit that way. You haven't even got the humility to
recognise your own limitations. You can just about put a bit of HTML
together, your endorsement of this product is fucking ludicrous, and it
casts doubt that the author of what I assumed to be a serious piece
seeks your endorsement. Scary.

>Thank you for your generous contribution to the freeware world."

Yeah, yeah. Here we go. Another pillar trying to erect itself. More air.
Try giving us a proper technical evaluation of this software. Good luck,
I won't wait up.
