Looking for a windows program to split / merge (and possibly
watermark) pdf files. I no longer have Java so that rules out
most of the common ones.

*About PDFTK Builder:

Can get a bit convoluted for any size, may want a file renamer to
supplement things. I don't do watermarks and PDFTK non-Builder may be
the cost of icing, which I don't do either.

...
* PDFTK is a powerful PDF tool - able to split and merge PDF
documents, add and remove passwords, add backgrounds (eg company
logos) - to list some of the things it can do. While PDFTK Builder
doesn't allow you to do everything PDFTK does, it greatly simplifies
getting PDFTK to do the most useful things.

Google!

1. freeware split merge pdf (I found PDF Split and Merge)

2. freeware pdf watermark (I think PDFCreator could do it)

You possibly need a collection of tools.

Dear Sir Yrrah,
There's been more than a few phenomena, pages labeled under an
auspices of Adobe Acrobat floating in the digital winds, I've
personally found of limited nature and intent, as well.
Profoundly yours,
