For me, the interesting thing is the emphasis on virtualization (and by
standardizing w/VMWare as opposed to Oracle. First version is 11.10 but
that's only seen a preview for the LTS release.

I wonder if the article should have read VMware View Open Client" ?

I think you nailed it in seeing 11.10 as a preview. If I were going to use
it on several machines, I'd wait the two months for 12.04 LTS before
deployment in a business network also.

Where does it mention SOHO use? What part of 'Enterprise desktop' didn't you understand?
