"This is a bloat-free version of the popular PDF viewer, Adobe Reader,
brought to you by Shark007, the creator of Vista Codec Package. More
languages to come!
"Adobe Acrobat Reader is free, and freely distributable, software that
lets you view and print Portable Document Format (PDF) files.
"Adobe Portable Document Format
Invented by Adobe Systems and perfected over 15 years, Adobe Portable
Document Format (PDF) lets you capture and view robust information —
from any application, on any computer system — and share it with anyone
around the world."
Has anyone here tried this?
Any reason why Adobe Lite is preferable to PDF XChange Viewer? 'Lite' it
may be compared to the overbloated 'Full' version, but it is still
heavier than PDFX viewer
Isn't this an infringement on the company's trademarked name? I would
think that a 3rd party app would not be allowed to use "Adobe" in their
product's title. Even using "Acrobat" is probably an infringement on a
trademarked product name. PDF, according to what Adobe claims (but
doesn't practice as evidenced by their threat at Microsoft), is an open
standard, so "PDF Reader" or a similar product name would be
permissible. The vendor of this program is not Adobe so using it in the
product name is inappropriate. It is no different that some store
putting "Walmart", "Target", or "Starbucks" on their storefront's
marquee.
and PDF XChanger viewer does not? (it's just a question)
Just Downloaded and installed it
What a delight to have a n app that works and works quickly without all
the added garbage which I do not need
Adobe needs to take notice of this and learn that big is not always better

I could (and do) say the same of PDF XChange viewer.
http://www.docu-track.com/home/prod_user/PDF-XChange_Tools/pdfx_viewer
Except it is not contaminated by Adobe.
Thanks for the feedback.

I finally broke down and gave it a try, as well, and am perfectly happy
with it, thus far. It installed easy, is fast, and at about half the
size, seems to do everything that I need it to do without all the
unwanted calling out for updates, etc. For anyone interested, more can
be learned about it here:
