InfraRecorder ver 0.5 ?

Used it for a while for CD's
Today I wanted to burn some files on a DVD. I have a cd-burner and a
dvd-burner, and both are showed in devices - the CD no. 1 and the DVD as
no.2. When I "drag" the files to the compilation window the bottom line
becomes red (as in too much data). the line shows up to 700MB and if I
want to burn , say 2 GB on a DVD, the program will not continue...
And I _have_ chosen the DVD-burner, rescan'ned twice.
It seems that the program choose the no.1 (cd)?

Found it... (Right-click the bootom line and choose DVD 4,7GB...:) )

I tried InfraRecorder for a while, it had some serious issues with a couple
of the machines I tried it on. I now use ImgBurn and find it better for my
needs. It's free so feel free to try it if you're interested.

I use ImgBurn to burn iso's to cd's, but think it's difficult to just
burn folders and files to a cd. I used to use Nero, but love the
freeware world..:) - thats why I dl'ed InfraRec...

IMGBurn uses an easy "wizard type" interface when it is started. Just
press the correct button "Burn Files/Folders to Disk" then drag and
drop or navigate to the file(s) to burn. Give the disk a name and
click build. That's it - mow just wait for the shiny new disk to be
burned;-)

On my HD I have a folder, lets call it "Programs"
Inside "Programs" there is an autorun.inf and a menu.exe program.
Also inside "Programs" there is several folder - lets call them Prog1 -
Prog2-Prog3 etc.
I'd like the CD to start the autorun, but when I burn it with ImgBurn
the main folder "Programs is in the root of the cd ...
I'd like the root of cd to contain:
autorun.inf
menu.exe
<folder>Prog1
<folder>Prog2
<folder>Prog3
etc...
- so the autorun.inf runs when the CD is put in the drive.
It works with other burn-programs...

I just use Windows Explorer and drag the files and folders I want into the
client area in ImgBurn, I find this the easiest for me.
So, in your case, select the .inf and .exe files along with the folders you
want and just drag them to the files/folders area in ImgBurn. I do agree
that using the built in file / folder selection tool is less than idea for
me. If you wanted to use that you'd first have to select the files and add
them, then the folders, using the two different tools.

Have you tried Deepburner Free available at
It has a very simple interface can do data copy to CD/DVD,
mutisession, create bootable disk, burn ISO etc and has never failed
me once.

There is another problem with the 1.8 version I have. It cant be used
just to copy a cd to a cd...
