Taps is played or sung when folks are too pooped to stand much
longer. They're tucked out. Bear Bottoms cannot present anything
worth looking into, as a merchant, he's become boring.
Jax needs a firm lover, that ain't Bear, he's flagging. No one cares
for his stuff, either his merchandise or his penis. His penis is too
soft:

Taps
Bear is dead, gone the sun,
From the lake, from the hills, from the sky;
All is soft, very soft, Death is nigh.

Fading life, dims the sight,
And a tear falls from Jax, gleaming bright.
From afar, drawing nigh, falls the night.

Thanks and praise, for Bear's death,
'Neath the sun, 'neath the stars, neath the sky;
As Bear dies, this we know, God is nigh.

Sun has set, shadows come,
Time has fled, Bear must go to his grave
Always false to the promise that he made.

While the light fades from sight,
And the stars gleaming rays softly send,
To God's hands we commend, Bear's demise.
