The term "floundering" doesn't exactly do what's happening to
hummer justice.

Getting bowled over in a category 5 shit storm is a bit more to the
point. The silly quarter wit is even more impotent than its
post-evaporative Boring Buttmunch sock at this point, but it's too
damned obsessive to just drop the pretense all together.

Nah, Agent is better and support regexp in kill files, can ignore
threads, not free, but well worth the price.

regexp's? ignore threads? I think Gravity can do the ignore thingy.

From Gravity help:

Ignore Thread (I)

Ignoring a thread causes all articles that belong in the thread of the
currently selected article to be:

1. Marked as Read (and consequently removed from the display if only
Unread articles are being displayed)

2. Added to the ignore list along with all ancestor message-ids

3. Any future descendants of the article are marked as read

See Lesson Ten - Rule System Overview for a more in depth discussion of
the Ignore Thread command.

All I have to do is pick a subject and press the "I" key, then the
thread is ignored.

I run a rule similar to this when downloading headers. I just have it
mark as read, any messages with "re:" in the subject line, so all I
really see or pay attention to, are new articles. If I'm interested in a
post, I'll mark it as protected, then read anything else in the thread.
I've heard that Agent is good, and has a few rules or filter settings
that Gravity might not be able to do, but I'm not a "power user" of
Usenet anyways, so it does fine for me... and it's free ;) I've been
using it since the first days of Anawave, so I'm accustomed to it.
Thanks for your input.

Cheer up, Hummingbird! It's Xmas! Smile! Go on. For the sake of
seasonal cheer, we'll all just accept you've no idea who made those two
posts you mention in your message:

<275b323c1f735615...@aracari.127.0.0.1>

You wrongly accused REM and when your allegation was shown to be based
on wild guesswork, you went and accused some other poster.

Why not mention me as well? Heh!

Merry Xmas.

You're like those newbies who post in html. You both think fancy lettering
looks whizzy.

Some English language newsreaders will display your special characters in
the headers as jumbled garbage.

Happy Xmas!

What a douchebag.

So someone else uses Agent and has Giganews account, therefore it must
be me.

And he has the nerve to tell others to get a life and even mentions
trolling.
What a retard.

So I'm improving them then...

Do you know what's the MOST ironic thing about your juvenile tirade?

The problem is YOUR character set and the fact that YOU
misconfigured YOUR client (or are too fucking stupid to configure
it properly for the characters you use in YOUR messages).

That fact alone makes your tirade amusing enough to be a classic.

The fact that having your cowardly XNA messages reposted bothers
you so much that you were compelled to embarrass your dumb self
that badly is just a bonus.

So is the fact that when your incompetent ass tried to post
"correct" headers you fucked them up even worse with word wrap.

Why not ask a techy to sort it out for you?

See how it should look down at the bottom.

EG: my Organisation Header looks like this:
>"Organization: =C2=A0=E2=80=A2=E2=80=A2=E2=80=A2 reject cults & cultism, e=
njoy your right to freedom and liberty =E2=80=A2=E2=80=A2=E2=80=A2" =20

Not like this:
>"Organization: =3DC2=3DA0=3DE2=3D80=3DA2=3DE2=3D80=3DA2=3DE2=3D80=3DA2 rej=
ect cults & cultism, enjoy your right to freedom and liberty =3DE2=3D80=3DA=

Hummingbird is proud of his headers. Last month he was saying: "My
Headers are quite unique, not easily cloned."

LOL about Hummingbird's "X-No-Archive" in the wrong header. So funny I
had to look it up:

?hl=en&dmode=source> or <ttp://tinyurl.com/ya7xzoe>

What on earth is all that mess of his? The randomness reminds me of the
problem when DOS used to write user data from RAM slack into a disk's
cluster tips. Has Hummingbird got a badly configured local proxy?

He's right about them being unique, unless someone decides to spoof
them. He's wrong about them not easily being cloned, of course.

The Keywords header actually decodes ok, resolving to a bunch of
"evidence" he's gathered during his obsession with you. He's got a line
feed character in it ("=0A" right before "X-No-Archive"), and
apparently he thought the "X-No-Archive: yes" was a header because it
appeared to him at the start of a new line.

He fixed the XNA at the same time he was working on borking his other
headers. He hasn't changed them much since he broke his From header.

hummingbird clued in to his nonexistent XNA header in early January,
after he experienced a NewsProxy crash.

Hummingbird had written:

"My Headers are quite unique, not easily cloned."

Then Roger Hunt challenged his logic:

"How can one be 'quite unique'? Either one is unique

Hummingbird replied:

"They are substantially unique."

Poster 'Stubbly John' suggested that Hummingbird was saying:

"My headers are substantially unique but not quite."

I replied:

"Hummingbird would be more unique if he didn't use so many socks."

Then someone called "HB quite unique headers" cloned Hummingbird's
headers and asked "How am I doin'?"

Amazingly, right through that discussion Hummingbird was actually
posting with messed up headers of his own:

-------------- START HUMMINGBIRD'S ORGANIZATION HEADER
Organization: =?utf-8?Q?=C2=A0=E2=80=A2=E2=80=A2=E2=80=A2_

-------------- END HUMMINGBIRD'S ORGANIZATION HEADER

From <news:7108d5428c58b633...@aracari.127.0.0.1>

Even more embarassing for Hummingbird is the new poster was mimicking
him by using readable text in the very same headers which Hummingbird
was messing up! In other words, the lookalike poster not only cloned
Hummingbird's "unique" headers but also cleaned them up for him:

Why does he do that, anybody???

Poor analogy. I have never posted in HTML.

Franklin wrote:

Too bad for them. You are mostly referring to old news clients and
some browsers and some terminals attached to uni servers etc etc.
I am not responsible for h/w, s/w that other people use.
Modern news clients support correct charsets.

I recall Opera has a problem with that as you and John Stubbings
discovered 12 months ago when you both tried to copy/paste my
headers into your forgeries but produced a dogs breakfast. <shrug>

Eh? I have never "accidentally" put anything in my headers, let
alone "X-No-Archive". Are you losing it or just lying, Q?

I'd guess that I know more about these matters than you. But let
your bubble keep inflating if it pleases you...you are a well
known liar and manipulator/twister of the English language.

>Not surprising that he finds the results of his

Good attempt at diversion to hide your ignorance, Q.

But my original post stands. The sock who posted using
"Anonymous Remailer (Austria)" is using a browser or interface
program to his remailers which only supports 7bit charsets.

It's his problem, not mine. He COULD have corrected his mashup
before he posted but chose not to.

I don't know what browser you're using to read Usenet, but my From
header won't "freak out" any Usenet clients. Unlike yours, my From
header contains no raw 8-bit characters. Clients which don't
understand the Q- and B- encodings will just display the 7-bit
characters in my From header instead of freaking out. Perhaps you freak
out when you see them?

The raw 8-bit characters you use in headers you use are forbidden by
RFCs. You should stop screwing with stuff you don't understand, but I
don't suppose you'll even consider it.

Your obsession with the imaginary gang of alleged criminals is showing
again. The perfectly lawful PL CD ISOs are at
<http://downloads.remarqs.net/pl/>, among other places.

There wasn't any debating, just some people taking note of your
numerous very bad misunderstandings about headers in general and the
software you use to break your headers in particular.

Chris, I'm sorry to see you I have confused you. The truth is that no
one on the Usenet owns the name "Hummingbird". I thought this had been
explained to you earlier this year in replies to a query you made asked
"Ping Ray Banana". Ray and other Usenet sysops explained this in a.f.s:

"There is no exclusive right to a particular nickname,

Here are your posts to that group using your nym "Free.Load":

As you know I post to uk.politics.misc as "Hummingbird" and you post to
that group as "Aracari". At the moment these names are not used by any
other posters in that group, so there is no muddle.

When I speak to other posters in u.p.m, I speak as "Hummingbird" because
that's the way I'm known there and no one else in that group posts as
"Hummingbird". So, when I am in u.p.m. I refer to any other poster in
another group who also uses the name "Hummingbird", as someone who uses
MY same name as the one I use in u.p.m.

I hope that's not too complicated to understand.

PS: I recently changed to posting in u.p.m. as Franklin because I was
replying to some climatology threads which had been crospsosted from
u.p.m. to a.c.f. I will revert back to my usual name of Hummingbird in
u.p.m.

Get a life humming jackass, you are not posting through remailers with

puppet of yours.

Obviously you don't understand what does "sock puppet" mean.
I never posted under any other nym on usenet in my life.

Just because 2 people use the same POPULAR service and use the same
POPULAR newsreader does not mean that they are the same person, you
retarded douchebag.
This was explained to you over and over, and several people pointed it
out for you, now since your hummingbird sock and others are in my kill
file, you are resorting to nym shift and use more socks to post through
anonymous remailers like the owned coward bitch that you are always
known to be.

It is time to killfile anonymous remailers too.
Good luck to you in your next post with the next sock puppet, you gonna
need it.
Get a life, douchebag.
You are a jackass and will always be a jackass and will die a jackass.
I am glad that this hit a nerve in you, and these words will haunt you
forever, you owned bitch.

What you have written is a fabrication based on groundless suspicions.

You write "skill at adopting other peoples' writing style". What am I
supposed to be, a mynah bird?

Where's all the "copious evidence" you have mentioned? Please post a
little bit of it.

If your argument holds water then you would agree that the large number
of Frell posts which accompanied your reappearance on October 1st were
your own handiwork.

No wonder he is the laughing stock of this newsgroup.
There is a reason that he is labeled as the humming jackass.

Blah blah blah.
All conspiracy theories without a single proof.

I don't need to use sock puppets, unlike you, you need to do that to
defend your own actions.
I have a life, you don't as it seems from your posts.

You think that posting foul language and insults, posting through
remailers, using sock puppets make you look smart or intelligent, but
guess what, moron, they make you look foolish.

You use sockpuppets, that is why you think that everyone else must be
using them like you.
Get a life and seek professional help.

Don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out.
