Dear Readers,
My Sony DSC-S600 was working fine until tonight. When I turn it on,
only a small corner of the LCD shows the image under reivew or live
(during photo/movie mode). The rest of the screen is yellowish-white
and looks like a shattered mirror. The glass is not cracked.

Camera still takes photos and videos that look great. Only thing is
that I can't view them on the camera except for a tiny sliver of
bottom right. Must download to computer to see.

Is this a sign of shattered LCD, or something else?
Any advise appreciated.

Anthony

It sounds like the LCD got hurt but not broken. I had one camera do
that to me in the first week and got another that worked fine.
My daughter had a Compaq laptop with a big LCD screen that is not
cracked but shows only black and white patterns that look like an ink
blot test. It does have a VGA monitor connection that works so I know it
is not the laptop computer itself.
If you ever had it in your pocket and bumped something it could have
been killed without breaking.
