I'm writing a Chat application in Delphi 4, and of cource I'm trying to
reduce memory consumption, but... It would be so much easier, if I had a
program, that showed the exact amount of memory used by a program, and also
how much memory was lost permanently by running it.
If anyone knows a program that does this (or a Delphi or Windows function)
It would be a great help.

Another problem is, that when I open my Client and Server components
(TUDPClient and TUDPServer in WSockets by Robert T. Palmqvists) Windows
tries to connect to the Internet, which I'd really like it not to. Any help
here would also be greatly appreciated.

Try BoundsChecker
It will tell you where you have memory leaks etc
