Does anyone know if there is a way of recording films or programmes from Sky
to a PC?
I ask because at the moment I am having to consider investing in a Sky Plus
box which will cost me something like 200 pounds as I can't seem to be able
to get my DVD Recorder to record off anything other than the standard
Terestrial channels.
At the moment it seems like the only solution is the Sky plus box and even
if there is a way to remotely control the box via a PC or by sending a text
message to Sky's remote record service there is still the question of
accessing the recorded programmes or freeing space from the Sky Plus box.

I think it can be done in an analogue fashion, but of course they do not
allow you to do it properly or nobody would go for Sky plus in the first
place. Also, a lot of the legal rights stuff affect what you can and cannot
record these days.
