I have just started using Daisy Books.
I bought the book "It" a few days ago.
I seem to have a problem when reading the CD when I press CTRL L to load the
disk because halfway through a chapter Amis stops working and the menu keys
and self voicing speech stop althougether and I have to fiddle around to
re-launch Amis by Bringing up Windows which I have shut down while running
Amis and I lose my place in the chapter which means I have to right arrow
through the phrases in the chapter to find my place.
Does anyone know what is causing this problem?
Unless there is a problem with the disks the only thing I can think of is
that the whole audio on the CD is too big for continuous naration but yet I
have 4 gig RAM on my laptop unless it also uses my hard drive and needs to
temporarily store the book on that.
I notice that the CD spins around a lot while the book is being narated.
I am puzzled as to why the book stops mid chapter in this way and why I have
to re-launch Amis only to find I am in a different place from where I was
and the only thing I can think of is that the keys have responded although
not to reading the book and I have accidentally moved to a different section
trying to get the naration back which is why I have to go through the
tedious process of right cursor through a chapter just to find where I was.

I do not know this software. Is it freeware or what?
I have Easyreader here, and I've not had these problems. Does your software
not have a bookmark function?

Is this every book or just one in particular?

If you copy the disc contents to a folder and play it from there does it
work then?

Does the copy fail, indicating trouble with the cd?
What does it do in a hardware player?

Will the disc play in a dvd player to prove the files are OK?

Other than that, sounds like a bug to me!
