Hi all Looking at a PC last night that had a folder N360_Backup which has grabbed half of a 30GB c: drive. The PC originally had Norton 360 installed but now has Norton Anti-Virus 2009. Looks like the newer software doesn't include any backup options and that the N360_Backup folder can now be deleted.... more »

I want to test the behavior of my anti-virus program (Avast). To that end, I'd like to get hold of something that looks like a virus (contains a known signature?) but doesn't act like a virus (no damage if I accidentally let it loose on my PC or server). AVG Free 9.0 - Shutting it Down Completely

The latest AVG, ever since I installed it, likes to take me from whatever game I'm playing to the desktop. It happened during both Age of Mythology, and Age of Empires III. It never happened before updating AVG. I shut down what I could shut down with the Task Manager, and whatever didn't immediately relaunch itself after I shut it down, and that solved... more »

I have a friend who sends me email and the attachments are always in the format of *.DAT. Can anyone shed some light on this? I Googled the issue and, from what I understand, it might be a virus issue. Thanks........
