High School Comic Class

I am new to this group and would like to say right away that I need
peoples help in doing what I am trying to accomplish. Let me start
off that I am a full time high school teacher and a full time graduate
student. I am trying to accomplish the impossible with our troubles
youth at the moment. At the current time I am studying literacy
promotion in high school students. I am trying to incorporate graphic
novels and comic books in my classroom to help troubles readers. I am
then, starting the following school year, teaching a "comic class".
However, due to limited resources I am not able to find enough comics
to support my cause. If I can't get enough material to teach the
course I am not able to teach it.
If there is anyone out there that can help my cause please let me
know. I have to stay focused on the material that I am teaching so I
am sticking with the classic comics such as Batman, Spiderman,
Superman, and books like House of Secrets, Tales from the Crypt, and
even Thor. I think I have a good medium to start with. If anyone has
lots they are interested in donating/selling please let me know. If
you know someone who can point me in the right direction please let me
know.
Please respond if you want more specific details in what I am doing,
and I would also be happy to hear what advice anyone has to offer
about crating the class as well.
