I've wondered myself. I've played it over and over and can't make it
out. I asked this same question here about a year ago, and no one had a
definitive answer. I guess YOUR guess is as good as any... -John

I don't know for sure, but it seems that most of the time when
I can't fathom a line, it turns out to be a Yiddish phrase.

According to the closed captions on the tape from Columbia, after Moe says,
"Superstitious, eh?" Curly says, "Wise guy kid." I know it sounds nothing like
that, but there it is.

Dammit, I used to know what Curly said -- it wasn't "wise guy kid," it was
something else, apparently the title of a popular song of the period.

I forgot now, dammit. The one time I actually need to know. Someone help or I
won't sleep!!
