Marx Bros at Paramount

Nephew came in from the UK with a shipment of DVDs for me, including the
multi-movie Marx Bros pack made at Paramount. Hard to get here in NZ.
Just thought I'd share the news ... and Monkey Business, here I come.

Oh, and how could I forget to reiterate that Dave Sim's brilliant
CEREBUS comic book series featured extensive appearances by the Marxes
AND the Stooges -- tho sadly, they never crossed paths with each other
in his pages.

Yes. The other was "The New People", about a bunch of 60s college
students trapped on an island, an island handily provided with all
modern conveniences because of dummy town created for a scheduled, then
canceled, H-bomb test. Not as awful as it sounds -- Rod Serling was
involved in it. On the other hand, so was Aaron Spelling.

Was "Music Scene" the show that was 45 minutes long? I have a hazy
recollection of one of the networks experimenting with two
back-to-back 45 minute shows and I could have sworn that one of them
was a pop music show.

"Music Scene" had a /really/ bad break. They promised at the outset that
each week they would try to get the act with the #1 record of the week
to perform it live.
So what was the #1 record for the first month the show was on?
"Sugar, Sugar".
