Happy Birthday, Groucho!

Whatever it is, I'm against it - except reminding the "ghosts" out
here that today is the 122nd anniversary of the birth of Groucho Marx.

If he'd had the genes of that world record holding woman from France
who lived to be 122, he might still be with us. Probably not *happy*
about it, though. Another 35 years on this earth without salt, cigars
and sex would likely have made him an honest to goodness grouch. ;-)

Hello.....I must be going. I cannot stay, I came to say.....thank you for remembering Groucho on his birthday. It's sad that there were more Marx Brothers than current participants in this group!

Volume is way down on all the USENET groups, but I still check in here
regularly. Lively discussions of classic comedy can still be found on
Facebook. I'm amazed at how active the Wheeler and Woolsey Facebook page is.

There's also the Marx Brothers List. Send an email with the following text
to majo...@lists.panix.com (leave the subject empty) subscribe
marx-brothers <your-email-address>. That's reasonably lively. The Facebook
Marx Brothers page is pretty quiet though.
