REQ: "Impressionist" films from the silent era info

I am interested in "impressionist" silent films made in the 20's. What
I mean by this to give the best example would be "The Cabinet of
Caligari", with the surreal set of doors that are all morphed out of
shape, etc.

What other bizzare impressionist films of this ilk would you recommend
to a relative newcomer? Faust and Nosferatu would fit to a lesser
degree? Thanks a lot?

I think you mean German Expressionism, and in that case you look for the
films of Lang or Murnau as examples. My favorite is probably The Last
Laugh.
