IMHO that scene fully justifies all the expense and effort involved in the
invention of motion picture film. :)

Did Chill Wills and the Avalon Boys ever record 78s?

I haven't been able to find any discography for them, but they did appear in
films other than Way Out West.

1934 - It's a Gift with W. C. Fields
1936 - Call of the Prairie with William Boyd as Hop-Along Cassidy
1936 - At Sea Ashore with Patsy Kelly
1936 - Anything Goes with Bing Crosby and Martha Raye
1937 - Bar 20 Rides Again with William Boyd
1937 - Nobody's Baby with Patsy Kelly and Rosina Lawrence (she was also in Way
Out West)

There may have been others.

The Avalon Boys split up in 1938.
