I broke into his car and stole some of his keepsakes while he was
dying in the emergency room. Wanna help me sell 'em? Or should I go
on eBay?

Young? If you went back in time to 1968 and told George Carlin that
he'd die too young in 2008, he would have laughed in your face. The
same would be true if you told Hunter Thompson that he'd die too young
at age 67.

Bad things happen to TV journalists who announce prematurely that
Obama has got the nomination in the bag.

Maybe Hillary has an understanding with the underworld.

Look what happened to Ted Kennedy.

I'm a Lawrence Spivak groupie. You got a problem with that?

Russert's FANS? Limbaugh's fans, maybe.

If misfortune must befall a prominent Irish American, why not Pat
Buchanan? Russert was far down my list.

If being an occasional bore were a capital crime, most of us would be
on death row. I know I would be.

The subject of tastelessness brings to mind shock jock Don Imus. He
reminds me of WKRP in Cincinnati's Dr. Johnny Thunder, who had to
change his name and move to another city every other year or so.

Imus called Gwen Ifill a cleaning lady. She's currently the
moderator of Washington Week on PBS.

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/04/10/opinion/10ifill.html

No one had the guts to tell her what he'd said on the air about her
for five years afterwards.

"It was not until five years later, when Mr. Imus and I were both
working under the NBC News umbrella--his show was being simulcast on
MSNBC; I was a Capitol Hill correspondent for the network" that she
finally found out about it.

I think that she should be the next moderator of Meet the Press.
She's uniquely qualified. Overqualified, if that's possible. And
NBC owes her. The king is dead. Long live the queen.

BTW, if Gore had won in 2000, Joe Lieberman would be a heartbeat away
from the presidency now.

I guess they all grew up to be lobbyists.
