It never occurred to me before now that Larry Harmon might have known
about the Firesign Theatre. Is it too much of a stretch to wonder if
he was a fan?

...the word "bozo" has taken on a certain life of its own. Survivors
of the psychedelic era will recall the title "I Think We're All Bozos
On This Bus" from an album by the Firesign Theatre humor troupe.

Indeed, the "bozo.com" domain name was registered in May 1995 to the
Friends of Firesign with John L. Clarke 3d, vice president of an ISP
in Monterey, Calif., listed as the administrative contact.

Clarke has worked with the comedy group and registered the domain on
their behalf. "I was going to try to get my Firesign friends to use
it, and pass it on to them," he said, but no site was launched and the
domain remains idle. "There isn't even a box to go with the name, so
mail and any other connection to it will bounce," he said.

(Who's John L. Clarke? And how many of us "survived" the psychedelic
era? Count me in...)
