Not trying to be rude here.  But all the Garcia's I've ever seen, have had bold rich colors,(including Ryan's) not the pastels or lighter colores, like the new version of Peace.  Can anyone shed some light on this, since Garcia is retired?
thanks

I looked at all the Garcias shown at this seller's link and they are
"normal" looking Garcias (compared to all the other pictures of Garcia
I've seen). The only reference I saw to "pastel" was the seller's Ebay
name...... The word "pastel" was not used in any of the item
descriptions.

One thing that puzzled me was the fact that at the end of
the address to get on to it,it said Pastel Peace.

That's because their eBay ID name is pastelpeace.

Hi Kim,

I wasn't going on the "pastel" reference in the description.  To me the coloring of Garcia, in certain places, looked light, like the newer pastel version of Peace.  Ryan's Garcia looks like the older version of Peace, with bolder colors.

Looking at the Garcia pics, there's just a.....difference?...I can see
comparing it to the Peace type material. I've probably looked at a
couple of thousand different pics of Peace over the past year or so (no,
I'm neither crazy nor exaggerating!)

I don't know how to explain it, but I can "see" it somehow. I know that
doesn't make ANY sense to you, but maybe it'll help if I also say I am
driven nuts when a picture isn't straight on the wall? I was in QC
inspection for years, so maybe I've just developed some kind of "knack"
for telling one thing from another that way. Who knows?

Kim,
Thanks.  I understand, btw, I got a real pastel Peace, finally, and when I compared the peace bears, everything you had told me about them was so accurate.  You are an excellent describer :):)
Thanks again

Garcia is one I haven't seen. Does he have a peace sign on him or just tie
dyed. I think I like Peace just fine. Is it just the name or were the
colors different?

Isn't it funny how once you really SEE one, you just "know" it's a
pastel? <g>

I'm glad you finally got one! How'd you come to get him? Was he
outrageously priced? C'mon, share your "good Peace day" with the rest
of us! <g>

And I finally remembered today where I got Pastel Peace #3 -- it was
from Paula! LOL I found an old Email while cleaning out my mailbox.

At this point I'll take any Peace I can get -- pastel, neon, regular,
old, new, 4th gen, 5th gen, whatever!

There's really no rhyme or reason to it all. The true "bright Neon"
ones from that same time period aren't really all THAT common, either,
but you don't see anyone making a big to-do about them. Not as compared
to "#102 summer whitewashed pastels", anyway.

Oh, while I'm thinking of it...have the girls made you a LIME PEACE yet?

You really liked that one, didn't you, P? I wonder if the colors were as
nice as the seller described. She really went into great detail on the
listing didn't she?
