  When I took the aluminum boiler apart on my Saeco after 11 years, it was &lt;br&gt; about 1/4 full of sediment, even though I regularly descaled it. I don&#39;t &lt;br&gt; know what the sediment was composed of, but I assume pieces of aluminum, &lt;br&gt; after looking at how the boiler was eroded, plus minerals from the water. &lt;br&gt; Now, if yours is in similar shape, the water filtering through this muck

Not a bad little gizmo, &lt;br&gt; considering Gaggia parts assembled in East Europe.
